駅や電車でスカート内を盗撮したら警察に突き出されること間違いありません。大学のセンセイや一流企業の幹部が捕まった事例を知らない人はいないのではないでしょうか。
ところが！です。
アメリカでは、最高裁判例でスカート内盗撮が違法ではないという司法判断が下されました。
Massachusetts' highest court ruled Wednesday that a man who took cellphone photos up the skirts of women riding the Boston subway did not violate state law because the women were not nude or partially nude.
The Supreme Judicial Court overruled a lower court that had upheld charges against Michael Robertson, who was arrested in August 2010 by transit police who set up a sting after getting reports that he was using his cellphone to take photos and video up female riders' skirts and dresses.

"A female passenger on a MBTA trolley who is wearing a skirt, dress, or the like covering these parts of her body is not a person who is 'partially nude,' no matter what is or is not underneath the skirt by way of underwear or other clothing," the court said in its ruling.

アメリカにも盗撮を罰する法令はあるのですが、それは対象である女性が更衣所や化粧室などで裸、もしくは一部裸である場合にそれを本人の意図に反して撮影した場合に適用されるもので、電車内などでスカート内を盗撮する行為は、対象の女性は裸、もしくは一部裸のいずれでもないので、罰するに当たらない、というのが司法判断のようです。
法解釈は屁理屈と紙一重だと思いますが、当然この解釈は一般の人達から猛烈な批判を浴びており、近く法規制が修正されるそうです。
良い子はくれぐれも真似しないでくださいね・・・。

フェースブック女子はご用心 ― curate
フェースブックをやり過ぎる女性は摂食障害を患うリスクがある、というニュースです。
Tallahassee, Fla., March 5 (UPI) – The more time a young woman spends on Facebook, the more likely she is to have an eating disorder – at least according to a new study published by researchers at Florida State University.
Psychologists have long established social pressure and traditional media as the two most influential factors in engendering eating disorders. And Facebook combines these two factors.
"Now it's not the case that the only place you're seeing thin and idealized images of women in bathing suits is on magazine covers," explained Psychology Professor Pamela K. Keel, the study's lead author. "Now your friends are posting carefully curated photos of themselves on their Facebook page that you're being exposed to constantly. It represents a very unique merging of two things that we already knew could increase risk for eating disorders."

bare one's soul
ちょっと成人向けの内容ですが、記事の引用から始めたいと思います。
The Duke porn star has come out from under the covers.
The university freshman — who bared her skin in blue movies to pay for college — bared her soul Tuesday in an online column in which she posted her picture and revealed her stage name as Belle Knox.
She wrote about how she has been bullied on campus since word of her racy part-time job spread.
"My decision to do porn to pay for college was a private one I made, and then I was outed to my university classmates by another Duke student who had seen me on the Internet a few months ago," Knox wrote on the XO Jane website. 骨抜き ― gut
アメリカでは電子タバコが俄かに注目を集めていますが、その電子タバコをどう規制するかが注目されています。
電子タバコといってもニコチンを含有しているということでは普通のタバコ同様規制されてしかるべきものなのですが、そこは売りたい側の思惑もあって、規制についても一筋縄では行かないようです。
The House unanimously passed Friday a bill that could make Utah the first state to regulate electronic cigarettes, but only after it made an amendment that the sponsor says gutted key provisions.
But Rep. Paul Ray, R-Clearfield, sponsor of HB 112, still asked the House to pass it anyway – which it did on a 73-0 vote – and said he would work "to fix it" as it moves to the Senate.
E-cigarettes contain nicotine-based liquid that is vaporized and inhaled. The House-passed version of the bill would ban anyone under 19 from buying or using them, and require retailers to obtain licenses from the State Tax Commission to sell them.
Ray intended to go much further. He wanted to ban all Internet sales of e-cigarettes, allow the Utah Health Department to set up manufacturing standards, and ban the marketing of e-cigarettes as a smoking cessation device.
Rep. Francis Gibson, R-Mapleton, amended the bill – on a 40-29 vote – to remove those provisions.
