アメリカのディズニーリゾートで、園内の浅瀬で遊んでいた2歳児がワニによって深みに引きずられ、その後溺死体で発見されるという痛ましい事件がありました。


One day after searchers found the body of a 2-year-old boy who had been snatched into the waters of a Disney resort in Orlando, the company is reviewing its policies about warning signs.

"We are conducting a swift and thorough review of all our processes and protocols," read a statement from Walt Disney World Vice President Jacquee Wahler on Thursday. "This includes the number, placement and working of our signage and warnings."

報道によると、ディズニー側は「遊泳禁止」の警告サインは掲げていたようですが、ワニが生息していることについては触れていなかったようです。別の報道によりますと、ワニに対する懸念が従業員から報告されていたにも関わらず、経営陣は適切な対策を施さなかったとも言われています。

今回に一件を受けて、ディズニーリゾートは警告サインの見直しに着手したようです。
