phony

The Catcher in the Ryeを読んで以来ではないかと思います。

A suspicious device found at an Australia Post delivery centre in Brisbane’s west has been found to be a phoney bomb.

The police bomb squad was called to the delivery centre on Mawarra Crescent in Ferny Hills after staff evacuated the building about 7.20am today.

The device, which comprised batteries and wires, was found in a secure area at the back of the delivery centre, prompting the closure of four streets around the building.

Police x-rayed the device and found it did not contain any explosives.

‘‘It appears to have been a hoax,’’ a police spokeswoman said.
