オーバーツーリズム（もしくは"mass tourism"）の弊害は今に始まったことではありませんが、受け入れる側である観光地や観光施設の立場からすると、旅行客というものはとんでもないことやアホなことをしでかす、迷惑極まり無いという見方があるということに我々は気がつくべきかも知れません。

例えばの話しは今回引用の記事にも出てくるのですが、こうした「アホな旅行客」を指して、

touron

というそうです。これは、touristとmoronのかばん語です。

この単語を載せている辞書はなさそうですが、実のところ"touron"なる単語は米国の自然公園のスタッフによる創作として1990年代からあるそうです。（Wikipedia）

よほと腹に据えかねるものがあったのでしょうか。私も旅行では"touron"と呼ばれないような振る舞いを心掛けたいと思います。
