などと出てくるのですが、この"PSA"というのが一体何の事なのか分からず、暫し考えてしまいました。記事の内容としては、飛行機の座席を巡る話で、窓側の席の客がトイレに行きたいのに通路側の客が立ち上がってスペースを空けてくれないから困る、というのは分かるのですが、では"PSA"は何を指すのかが分かりませんでした。

略語はコンテクストによって色々ありますから、"PSA"に関しても複数あります。

結論から言うと、"PSA"は、

Public Service Announcement

の略なのです。Merriam-Webster Dictionaryでは以下のように定義されています。

an announcement made for the good of the public

つまり、公共の利益につながる広告ということで、マナー向上などを目的とした啓発広告のことなんですね。

最初の引用では、略語のみで、また広告というよりもSNSの投稿の話なので、分かりにくいといえば分かりにくいのですが、こうした苦情をSNSに投稿することがマナー意識を高める一種の啓発につながるという意味では、現代の"PSA"とも言えるのでしょう。
