野球の試合で、観客がホームランボールやファウルボールをキャッチするというのを聞くことがありますね。

フ観客席に飛んで来たボールを首尾良くキャッチするというのは、たまたまキャッチできる位置に座っていたという偶然や運もあるでしょうが、このケースは肩車をしていた子に目隠しされながらもキャッチできたということで話題になっています。

キャッチする気で構えていたとは言え、直前で視界を塞がれてなお、よくそんな上手くキャッチ出来たものだと思います。

と称賛したそうですが、"dad power"という言葉が印象に残りました。

和訳すると「父親パワー」ということになると思いますが、肩車した娘に突然両手で目隠しされながらも首尾良くボールをキャッチしたというところに父親の秘めたるカリスマ性みたいなものを認めているようです。

とも言われることがあります。
