これまで何度か取り上げてきたJeffrey Epstein氏を巡る事件に関しては、司法省と共に事件を封印しようとするトランプ大統領にフォーカスが当てられています。

当のEpstein氏は獄中で自殺したとされていますが、闇に葬られたのでは無いかとの疑惑があります。共犯のGhislaine Maxwellは収監中であり、唯一の証人として注目され、議会への証人喚問が検討されているとの記事を見かけます。

Maxwell氏はEpstein氏の売春顧客リストについても中身を知る立場にあったと見られることから、まさに政権が闇に葬り去ろうとしているファイルへのカギとなる人物と目されています。

"Rosetta stone"とは、古代エジプト文字、ヒエログリフを解読する手掛かりとなった石板のことですが、エジプトの都市Rosettaで見つかったことからその名がついています。

ここでは謎を解く手掛かり（となる物、人物）、という意味で比喩的に用いられていますが、このような用法はある程度確立しており、Merriam-Webster Dictionaryでは、

one that gives a clue to understanding

と定義されています。
