We have all used passwords at one time or another to protect our accounts and identities. Some may even use fingerprints when a higher level of security is required. In the future however, you may never need to use passwords or fingerprints ever again due to the research being done on our brain waves.
Researchers at Binghamton University have found a way to verify a person's identity based on how their brain reacts to certain words according to a new study published by the academic journal Neurocomputing. In the research study, participants were read different acronyms, and it turned out that each participant's brain reacted differently to each acronym. The researchers have suggested through their findings that each person's 'brainprint' can be used by security systems to identify one's self.

We’ve heard a lot about how our bodies—our faces, our irises, even our heartbeats—will replace passwords. Now, a group of neuroscientists are adding another body part to that list: the brain. Or more specifically, the brain’s response to certain words.
