WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump’s campaign on Sunday scrapped a major part of its federal lawsuit challenging the election results in Pennsylvania.
Trump's attorneys filed a revised version of the lawsuit, removing allegations that election officials violated the Trump campaign's constitutional rights by limiting the ability of their observers to watch votes being counted.
The shift comes amid a string of losses in the Trump campaign's post-election legal effort, which claimed without evidence that voter fraud, irregularities and rule-breaking led to President-elect Joe Biden's victory. Taken together, the flurry of post-election litigation has affirmed the integrity of the election: many of the complaints have been tossed, and not a single vote has been invalidated.

jimmies
A factory in Vietnam was busted washing and reselling more than 320,000 used condoms to pass them off as new, according to police who raided the dangerous operation.
To “recycle” the dirty rubbers, Pham Thi Thanh Ngoc, 32, allegedly had roughly 1,000 of them delivered per month to the facility in Tan Uyen Town, where she cleaned and reshaped them, according to the Vietnam Insider.
Pham, who rented the facility, remolded the jimmies with a wooden shaft to make them look fresh again — then placed them in new packaging, the local outlet reported.
During the raid on Saturday, local police seized a total of 324,000 used condoms, officials said. Thousands more had already been sold to unsuspecting customers.

jimmies
tiny rod-shaped bits of usually chocolate-flavored candy often sprinkled on ice cream

Jell-O
Since President Nixon’s historic “opening to China” in 1972 and President Carter’s formal recognition of the communist regime in Beijing, U.S. policy has been to promote trade and investment with China. I myself was a leader of the first U.S. trade mission to Beijing in 1982. Our strategy then and thereafter was founded on the notion that free global trade and investment would stimulate not only economic growth but also the spread of democracy and peace.
Clinton campaigned for President under the slogan “no coddling of dictators from Baghdad to Beijing,” but as President adopted a policy of “positive engagement,” eventually negotiating to bring China into the World Trade Organization. Of China’s attempts to censor the internet, he joked: “I’d like to see them try to control the internet. It will be like trying to nail jello to the wall.”
(Clyde Prestowitz. America’s Big China Mistake. Washington Monthly. June 7, 2020.)
“I’d like to see them try to control the internet. It will be like trying to nail jello to the wall.”
If you say that something is like trying to nail Jell-O to the wall, you are emphasizing that it is extremely difficult or impossible.

Juneteenth
Uber will honor Juneteenth and elections days around the world as company holidays, CEO Dara Khosrowshahi announced Wednesday.
“To embrace the meaning of #Juneteenth this year, we’re making it a paid day off. We encourage employees to spend it in a way that allows them to stand up against racism, whether that’s by learning, participating in a community action, or reflecting on how to make change,” Khosrowshahi said on Twitter.
Uber’s announcement is the latest effort among tech companies to support and honor the Black community. Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey announced last week that Juneteenth would become a company holiday.
Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. A combination of the words June and nineteenth, the holiday commemorates when an U.S. army general informed enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865 that the Civil War had ended and they were free.
