オバマ米大統領来日演説から ― stake

今週のテーマは、先日来日したオバマ米大統領のサントリーホールでの演説から、興味深い単語、表現を取り上げています。

という単語は、stakeholderという表現がありますが、現代では”利害関係”というコンテクストで用いられることがほとんどと思われます。

関わりが深いから、利害関係（a stake）があるという論旨だと思いますが、実はその関係とは、商業（commerce）や輸出（export more of our own products）といったコンテクストだと分かります。
