"pixie"には英国の伝承に出てくる小妖精のことだと辞書にあります。髪型のショートカットとこの妖精に関連があるのかは、他の辞書等も見てみましたが、不明です。

それにしてもミスコンテストではロングヘアが常識（！？）というのは知りませんでした。

今回優勝した女性はショートスタイルは個性と主張していますが、それを"woke"だと批判する声があるとかで、こういう議論が起きるのも時代の流れなのでしょうか。
