次から次へと新しい手口が出てくるものだと思いますが、iPhoneで古いiOSバージョンを使っているユーザーは注意が必要のようです。

さて、記事中、"yoink"という単語が出て来ますが、初めて見るものでした。文意から大体意味するところは解ろうかというところで、最初は"yank"のスペルミスかと思ったところです。

"yoink"は俗語らしく、Cambridge Dictionaryのウェブでは、

an expression used by some people when taking or removing something quickly, usually without permission

と定義されており、ひったくる、というような意味であると解釈できます。

Wiktionaryなどによると、語源的にはやはり"yank"との関連があるとされる他、テレビ番組などで物をひったくる際のサウンドエフェクトから来ているとの説明が見えます。
