テスラCEOマスク氏がツイッターを買収すると宣言したのはいつだったでしょうか、その後紆余曲折ありましたが、このほど買収を完了したと報じられています。

新しくツイッター社を手中に収めたマスク氏ですが、最初の仕事は同社のリストラということのようです。

ここで、"show (a person) the door"という表現は、直訳すれば、（人に対して）ドアを見せる（示す）、となります。

ドアというのは建物や家、部屋に出入りするためのものですね。その中にいる人にドアを指し示すというのは、ドアから出て行くこと、を言わんとしています。

つまり、出て行け、ということです。
