She won the race of her life.
A woman who lost her leg in the Boston Marathon bombing two years ago returned Monday — to triumphantly run in this year’s race.
“I took my life back today,” said an emotional Rebekah Gregory, 27, after falling to her knees, weeping, on the rain-soaked pavement at the finish line at about 4 p.m.
Clad in a bright-blue “Rebekah Strong” T-shirt, Gregory wore a pink sneaker on her right foot. Her left leg was fitted with her cheetah-printed prosthetic, which she calls “Felicia.”
Gregory gleefully posted a photo of her big finish on social media, writing, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
