アップルが"Apple Pay Later"というサービスを米国でスタートしたそうです。

新サービスではアップルの端末を用いた支払の際に、後払いを選択することができ、何と無利子で貸し付けを行うというもので、ちょっとびっくりです。

アップルは金融業者の道を模索しているのでしょうか？

記事のタイトルで、

Apple Pay Later turns Apple into a full-on money lender.

とありますが、"full-on"という見慣れない表現が目に留まりました。言わんとするところは何となく分かるような気がします。

実のところ、新サービス"Apple Pay Later"は技術的な問題などにより提供開始が遅れていたという事情があります。アップルはiPhoneやWatchデバイスにおけるApple Payやウォレットのサービスを導入し、クレジットカードやデビットカードの機能を取り込んできましたが、今回は新たにアップル自らがユーザーにお金を貸し付けるというサービスを提供するという点が新しく、それが"full-on"の言わんとするところと思われます。背景には端末販売の収益に限界が見えてきているという事があり、市場としても飽和状態なのでしょう。金融サービスの展開はある意味、多角化です。

手元の英和辞書にも"full-on"のエントリがありましたが、分かりやすい定義については検索を頼ってみました。

Full-on is used to describe things or activities that have all the characteristics of their type, or are done in the strongest or most extreme way possible.

"full"という形容詞のイメージが理解を助けてくれますが、ある「モノ」の概念において期待される特徴（特長）を全て、完全に兼ね備えている、というような意味合いでしょうか。つまり、欠けているところが無い、ということだと思われます。

コーパスで検索してみますと、実に多くの用例があり、意味合いにも多少の幅があるようなのですが、意味的に近いと思われるものを拾ってみました。
